First entry in IAAF/BEN Charity league table

A total of £1165.11 was raised for our trade charity BEN at last week’s Intertruck Conference. Money was collected from a variety of activities including a raffle, the sale of National Draw Bike tickets and cash and cheques donated on the day.

Tony Sackett, President of the IAAF and a trustee of BEN, is keen to get his fellow members of the IAAF involved in fundraising activities.

“We want everyone involved in or thinking of embarking on a fundraising scheme to let BEN know and they will produce a monthly league table of fundraising, which the IAAF will publish in the weekly e-Bulletin, explained Tony. “And we want to know about everything that’s happening, whether it’s ‘dress-down’ days, selling home-made cakes, running a marathon but, whatever idea you have, we want to know about it and offer help where needed.”

The best fundraising ideas – not just the ones that bring the most cash – but the daft ideas and the caring thoughts, will be featured in the IAAF dinner. A real celebration of aftermarket giving.
